Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

Squark Box collects nothing. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or usage data. It has no network access, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and it never uses the microphone.

What Squark Box is

Squark Box is an instrument for iPad and Mac, as a standalone app and as an Audio Unit (AUv3) plugin that runs inside a compatible host app (such as AUM, GarageBand, Logic or Live). It makes its sound in real time, entirely on your device.

Data we collect

None. Specifically, Squark Box does not:

  • Require or support account creation or sign-in
  • Collect names, email addresses, or other personal information
  • Use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services of any kind
  • Track you across apps or websites
  • Connect to the internet or transmit any data to a server

Audio and microphone

Squark Box has no audio input. It does not use the microphone, and it does not record, save, or transmit audio. The sound it makes is generated in memory, on your device only.

Data stored on your device

The only thing Squark Box keeps is its own state: its knob settings, cables, memories and wiring. That state is saved on your device by the host app or by the Squark Box app, in the ordinary course of using an instrument — the same as any of your other instruments or effects. It never leaves your device through Squark Box.

Third parties

Squark Box does not integrate any third-party SDKs, services, or libraries that collect data.

Children's privacy

Because Squark Box does not collect any personal data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of Squark Box adds a feature that involves data collection — this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly.
